The Powell Group believes in the importance of furthering the welfare of others. Over the years, we have created multiple ways in which we as a company can give back to the community.

 

The Kids’ Orchestra

Kid’s Orchestra is the most recent addition to The Powell Group family. It is a non-profit organization designed to foster social change and nurture promising futures for youth in Baton Rouge. In collaboration with a broad array of community partners, Kid’s Orchestra will provide music education, instruments, leadership development, and performance opportunities to Baton Rouge’s kindergarten through fifth graders. Although music is going to be the means by which we connect to these children, Kid’s Orchestra is not solely a music program. We are just using music as a way to inspire, motivate, and nurture these children. Through our music program, students of all races, religions, and backgrounds can come together in harmony. Powell Group Fund

The Powell Group Fund was established at the Baton Rouge Area Foundation in appreciation of The Powell Group’s employees whose productivity make it possible for The Powell Group to give back to the community. The purpose of the fund is to support nonprofit organizations demonstrating they have planned their projects with respect to the community’s greatest opportunities, particularly in the areas of arts and humanities, community development, education, environment, health care, and human services. Since origination, The Powell Group Fund has helped over one hundred nonprofit organizations in the Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, and Sioux City areas, donating more than one million dollars.
